Our stay
Rita and myself have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your lovely cottage. We feel so relaxed after our week. The cottage is perfect and the surroundings are idyllic for a relaxing break. We wil difinitely be back to see the rest of this magical island. Thanks so much to you Calum and Anne for your kind hospitality.

Cottage - August 2011
Thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at Harsgeir View. The cottage was extremely comfortable and homely and the welcome basket & flowers greatly appreciated. The scenery from the cottage windows is simply stunning. Hoping to return soon.

Just one word of warning, there are no shops open on Sunday, not even the supermarkets in Stornoway - there is a Tesco opposite the Ferry terminal or a large Co-Op further up the road so make sure you stock up on arrival.

Holiday experience July 2011
Very comfortable, warm and cosy cottage. Weather was good to us for the week. Local people were very friendly and quick to offer help and advice. Travelled to St Kilda with Seatrek from Miavaig harbour, on the trip over we saw sharks, a whale, dolphins and numerous sea birds. The Island shrouded in mystical magic and this trip is a must for all visitors. White sandy beaches around the Outer Hebrides these Islands are a gem. Thank you Callum we will be back very soon.

Take your seat in the theatre that is Great Bernera (the bench outside the cottage) and enjoy the show. The mist machine pours atmosphere over the stage; the sheep perform their well-rehearsed chewing act, the geese launch themselves into a fly past; a highland cow sits majestic in the background and the little birds make fleeting appearances. The mist lifts, the heavy laden clouds part and the light show begins. Sunshine kisses the ancient landscape of Gneiss strewn hills and shores momentarily transforming an austere landscape into patchworks of vibrant colour. The shows are daily and nightly and no two are ever the same. It is, indeed a rare treat.
