The Brecklands, Norfolk

History  The Brecklands are sandy heathlands alive with wild life, rabbits, deer, birds, butterflies & dragonflies. Famous for our twisted pines lining the agricultural fields.

Heritage  There are several National Trust and English Heritage houses and gardens in the area, Oxburgh Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Ickworth House and Sandringham.

Activities  If you like to take part you can hire bikes at ‘Bike-Art’ and take on a coloured trail. We can supply you with a map and a packed lunch and you could meander freely through the local woods, looking out for birds and creatures. You may prefer to take a refreshing swim at Thetford Leisure Centre.  For those who really are adventurous why not try ‘Go Ape’ at High Lodge in the Forest? If this is all too strenuous you might like to visit motorcross in the Hockham Woods, Bikes or cars testing their skills at Snetterton Race track, or even Speedway at Kings Lynn.
