hello to you all, just back after spending 3 weeks with family in Provence. They now have a new son Christopher who clocked in last friday at the huge weight of over 12 pounds! everyone is doing very well. As Grandmother I was looking after their eldest boy Robert, cooking and gardening. Weather very pleasent  ,hard frosts at night and warm and sunny days,so lots of good bonfires in the garden.

   Now back to gardening here, hope to germinate seeds for the polytunnel shortly,weed the strawberry beds.

   New carpet arriving for the front stairs and landing at the beginning of march,painter in the wing kitchen and back hall, and some nice new curtains being made up for the upstairs bedroom. 

  Hope it all gets done in time for first regular guests Julie and husband arriving in middle of march.
