early Autumn hello to everyone

A very busy August with many new guests, who all seemed to enjoy their stays, although the weather was pretty wet and some storms towards the end.

At the bank holidy weekend it decided at last to turn warm and sunny, I hope it contiues for a bit as I am waiting on the house being painted at the front.

Went for a great walk on the 2nd. From Kilbride on Skye via Camusunary to sligachan approx 17 miles and very hot, we actually plunged in a pool at lunch break. Fantastic middle section under the west face of blaven, views of the Cuillins spectacular, highly recommended.Dogs enjoyed it too.

Now cutting back the garden,we have a fat slow worm sharing the garden with us, known as Big Bertha( Big Bert if he's male!)Gradually getting used to her,but hope to goodness it does not slide in the back door to try and take up residence by the aga for the winter.

Poly tunnel and kitchen garden is still doing well, our tomatoes at last are ripe and plums and apples being shared with the blackbirds, guest s .and i seem to be back of the queue.

Thank you all for supporting me in what I do  here, it is great to see so many returning guests as well as new faces. If you have any ideas for improvemnts or things on menus etc.. please do let me know.

Have a good Autumn to you all, Louise plus the Collies of course!
