On Saturday, I had lunch in eilean Donan Castle. Everything looked and tasted wonderful. It took place in the banqueting hall and was great fun.

The cuckoo has arrived to say that Spring is properly here, still waiting on the house martens, their nests are still looking in good shape under the eaves, I hope they use them again this year, though they do make the most awful mess.

A local boat is now doing trips up Loch long and loch Duich every half hour, it is a great service and also good value, it offers life jackets and waterproofs, so no excuse if you have not got them.

Another good find is Sheila's cafe 4 miles away at Balmacara Square, great for coffee and cakes,light lunches, she will make up sandwiches for you to take away if you want. all home cooked and delicous.

May is very busy, many returning guests-I am really looking forward to seeing you all and making your stay comfortable and happy. Remember if you have any special requests prior to your arrival just let me know, and i will do my best to organise it.
