July visit
One week in Fair Isle allowed us to soak up the splendid scenery, amazing birds and crofting life, thanks to Kathy's hospitality, Sam's tolerance and Humbug's playfulness.

Visit June 2008
Fair Isle is magical and our welcome was so warm. The guest house is very comfortable with marvellous views and the meals were excellent. Thank you so much.
Travel there from Kirkwall was really easy as Logan Air made booking simple and the flights gave views over the Orkney islands and Fair Isle.
It was a pity though that the flights via North Ronaldsay have stopped as we would have liked to combine a visit to both places.

David's Visit
Amazing visit, amazing island, amazing hospitality.Food brilliant, wildlife brilliant and weather and sunsets brilliant. Many a thread to many a yarn. Great plane link to Kirkwall but it needs much more publicity and promotion so that it takes off with more visitors and flights for tourists from the South. Shetland sheep and bonxies make for interesting hillwalking. 700 archaeological sites on a few square miles and the largest expanse of Oyster plant I have ever seen are just some of the things that make it pulchrissima. Oops! I forgot the birds - but I will never forget Kathy's kindness, homeliness and hospitality. Auf Wiedersehen.
David.

Chez Kathy
A short visit but memories to last a lifetime. This is a very special place which was enhanced by wonderful hospitality and fuelled with fabulous food - thank you Kathy. As well as the obvious attractions of incredible scenery, wealth of wildlife, historic heritage and community lifestyle this is simply the place where you can just "be". The increased accessibility (now also a plane from Orkney) gives you no excuse for not coming back - so that's what we'll just have to do! A bientot.

Charles

PS the weather was fantastic too!
