'Cerobhal' is situated on Kinlochlaich farm where sheep, beef and organic pigs are raised. If you are a keen hill walker or just want to explore on foot or bicycle 'Cerobhal, is the place to stay. For those with artistic talent the landscape is spectacular affording the artist a whole raft of opportunities to capture the scenery on canvas. Appin offers the keen wildlife watcher a wide range of opportunities to see many species of birds- if you are patient, you may spot a Sea Eagle or a Golden Eagle and at low tide Loch Laich is a hive of activity for many species of birds. Otters patrol our coastline and the area is a stronghold for many species of butterfly including Marsh fritillary. We have a large resident population of Red Deer and Canada Goose too!
Spring 2011.
The sheep have just finished lambing and the birds are busy feeding their young- we have a nest box in the garden and a Blue Tit has taken up residence. The garden is beginning to take shape after the hard winter and the recent storm. The National Cycle Path has a 5 mile section with extentions happening as I write. The route takes the visitor through woodland, by sea scapes and overall breathtaking views. It is suitable for all users as it is on the old railway line.
